My song choice is Hall Of Fame by The Script ft. Will.I.AM. It is an Indie Rock song that focus and aims itself at personal growth and celebrates the idea of success.
Indie Rock is a popular genre amongst the youth as it takes and borrows a lot of its style and mood from pop music, rock and lo-fi. These genres are very conventional and common in the music scene at the moment. Although, this song is fairly old its still listened to by masses due to its amazing message. It attempts to show a journey of a young boxer facing defeat and making sacrifices to strive for success; the lyrics amplify the video as the lyrics say “you could move a mountain, you could break rocks” which is a metaphor and a bit of hyperbole because as humans we are unable to move mountains but saying this gives the audience this inner power to be resilient and push through whatever comes our way.
