”Breakeven“ is a very interesting music video portraying a romance and love story. The reason I like this music video because it uses impressive VFX contrasting from the black and white tint to fluorescent tint. They do this when there‘s a change of character. This could amplify the lyrics and message of the song as it emphasises the emotions of the characters. This music video isn’t very generic and is played in a very 1980s fashion which is why I like it.
“I want it all” is an abstract type of music video in the sense that the narrative is in the scene of the performance and vice versa. However, the reason I like it is because of the message the video portrays because it shows the success and journey of them as a band over all the years and it shows their worst and best moments. This is very wholesome and uplifting and that’s why I like it.
